Hello and welcome to Cook Ferrell Chiropractic Wellness. I am Dr. Kelly Cook Ferrell and I am very excited to be the newest addition to the J. C. Blair Therapy and Wellness Center. Though I have recently returned to Huntingdon to open Cook Ferrell Chiropractic Wellness, I am certainly no stranger to the area. Born and raised in Huntingdon, PA, I graduated from Huntingdon High School in 1996 where I was a three sport athlete participating in volleyball, basketball and softball. I continued my education and volleyball career at Juniata College, graduating in 2000 with a degree in Elementary Education. While teaching, I earned my Masters in Educational Leadership from Penn State. After teaching and coaching for several years in the local school districts, I decided it was time to make a change.
While playing volleyball for Juniata College, I had the opportunity to be a member of a two time silver medal and one time bronze medal national championship team. Having been a chiropractic patient throughout my athletic career, I was well aware of the importance of correct spinal, extremity and muscular function for peak performance. I knew then that chiropractic and educating others of its power was definitely my future. I moved to the Finger Lakes Region of New York and attended New York Chiropractic College where I was on the dean’s list. During that time I was also able to further my knowledge base at weekend seminars on topics such as soft tissue techniques and pediatric care. I graduated in December 2010 with my Doctorate of Chiropractic.
After spending several years adjusting patients in State College, Boalsburg, and Centre Hall, returning to Huntingdon to open my own practice has been a dream come true for me. I look forward to being an active member of our community and eagerly await working with patients of all ages, helping them achieve their personal best performance and health!
